Here's a vintage 1962 filmstrip about all the technology and innovation in New York City. How exciting and Don Draper! Too bad most of the video is about an insurance company changing offices. Wake me up when we're in the bankrupt '70s.
This is like a tourist making a video now that's like "come see the cubicle farms of Midtown!" That's not what people want to see. They want to see the glamour of the cosmopolitan city. They want Broadway shows and fancy stores and expensive dinners and trips to M&M World where they can spend their hard-earned money on branded goods. That's what the people want. But still, I'm a sucker for any movie with old cabs and girls with great hairdos. They don't do the 'do like they did the 'do back then, do they? [BuzzFeed]
