It is perfectly appropriate that, once a brand or person becomes sufficiently ubiquitous, manufacturers turn them into intangible clouds of scent, to permeate the very air we breathe. The latest edition: America's Next Top Model perfume, which will be sold at Target.
ANTM's premiere scent is "Dream Come True." The target consumer is "females in their late teens to early 30s" who wish to suffuse their lives with a freesia-tinged air of smizing desperation. The price is $21.99 for a 1-oz. eau de toilette, or $12.99 for a 30-ml. perfume. Previous forays into ANTM lifestyle products include a short-lived clothing line sold at Wal-Mart in 2008. [WWD]
