"Some Kind of Artist" Constructs Mummy Out of McDonald's Food to Make Some Kind of Point

Self-described "some kind of artist" Ben Campbell needed a centerpiece for his art show on the link between ancient Egypt and modern society, so he set out to craft a life-size mummy using about $200 worth of food he purchased at McDonald's.

According to Campbell, there's actually a little more to the mummified meat demon than being really disgusting.

"Ancient Egypt was obsessed with achieving immortality through customs that included mummification and the construction of pyramids," he says. "Modern society is likewise obsessed with achieving a from of immortality through our own customs that include pursuing celebrity status and constructing corporations."

So basically it's about how McDonald's makes immortal food? Anyway, Campbell hopes the whole thing gets him sued. It probably won't, but that doesn't mean it's not worth trying.
