Rogue Cleaning Lady Breaks Into Homes at Night, Does Unsolicited Housework

An Ohio woman was arrested Tuesday in Westlake for allegedly breaking into a home and cleaning it.

"Stuff was moved around and it was cleaner," said homeowner Mallory Bush, who was asleep at the time. "On a napkin note that said, came here to clean today, and had a name and address and a bill for $75, so I figured my parents hired a cleaning person."

Her mom, who had not hired Sue Warren to clean the house, gave the Elyria native a call to find out what she had been doing inside their house. The 53-year-old woman responded that she picked that house at random, "and cleaned it cause she was desperate for money."

Warren, who has since been dubbed the "cleaning fairy," is accused of stealth-cleaning at least two other homes in the area. She was booked into jail, but police have yet to charge her with a crime.
