Earlier today, the patron saint of unique storage space Lauren Conrad ripped apart some Lemony Snicket books with an X-Acto knife and advised others to do the same.
Slate reached out to the author of A Series of Unfortunate Events for comment.
Here is his response:
"It has always been my belief that people who spend too much time with my work end up as lost souls, drained of reason, who lead lives of raving emptiness and occasional lunatic violence. What a relief it is to see this documented."
