Missouri Man Arrested for Planning Aurora-Style Massacre at Twilight Screening; Had Already Purchased TicketsS

Police in Missouri say they've arrested a 20-year-old man who was days away from committing mass murder at a local screening of the new Twilight movie.

Blaec Lammers of Bolivar had recently purchased two assault rifles and over 400 rounds of ammunition, allegedly with the intent to shoot people inside a movie theater during a Sunday showing of Breaking Dawn Part 2.

According to court documents, Lammers' mother contacted police on Thursday to inform them of her son's plans.

During questioning by police, Lammers reportedly confessed to the movie theater plot, saying he had already purchased tickets, but also revealed a second plot to shoot up a local Walmart.

"Blaec Lammers stated that he would walk into the store and just start shooting people at random," court documents say. "[I]f he ran out of ammunition...he would just break the glass where the ammunition is stored and get some more and keep on shooting until police arrived."

Lammers also told officers he identified with recent mass murders, particularly Aurora shooting suspect James Holmes, as he too "was quiet, kind of a loner, had recently purchased firearms and didn't tell anybody about it, and had homicidal thoughts."

Police subsequently charges Lammers with first-degree assault, making a terroristic threat and armed criminal action. He is currently being held on a $500,000 bond.
