New Yorkers will soon find themselves facing a fear they haven't known for centuries: the king could show up on their doorstep at any time.
But don't worry, big apples; there's no need to exercise your Second Amendment right to shoot him before declaring the monarchy dissolved. Instead of sentencing you to gaol for high treason, he's bringing Whoppers, bottled soft drinks, and "real fruit" smoothies.
Burger King announced today that it would be expanding its delivery service (currently available from select locations in the burger kingdoms of Washington, D.C., Houston, and Miami) to New York City.
This means that New Yorkers will soon be able to have piping hot lukewarm Burger King delivered to their home any time they want it, provided they want it between the hours of 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and don't require a fountain drink, dessert, or breakfast items.
Delivery from America's #3 burger chain will be available for orders totaling at least $10, so go ahead and start dreading that day when you will elect to add a spare "small fries" to your Burger King order to bump it up over $10.00 because you don't feel like going outside. While you wait for your food to arrive, evaluate your life choices.
The service provides a wonderful opportunity for foodies who have always wanted to try Burger King, but never dreamed they would be able to get a table.
