Kansas City police are currently investigating two shootings that took place this morning. They say a Chiefs player shot and killed his girlfriend at their home and then headed to a practice facility where he committed suicide.
Kansas City police have confirmed that 25-year-old linebacker Jovan Belcher was the player in question.
The New York Post's Bart Hubbuch also identified the player in question as Belcher:

The Chiefs released a statement to The Kansas City Star that read: "We can confirm that there was an incident at Arrowhead earlier this morning. We are cooperating with authorities in their investigation."
The Star is also reporting that Belcher had met with his coaches right before he entered the practice facility:
