Florida Pastor Wins Car for Not Burning Koran

Florida Pastor Wins Car for Not Burning KoranRemember Florida Pastor Terry Jones, the guy who planned to burn the Koran on 9/11 but then called it off? He just won a car from a New Jersey dealership for not burning the book.

Last month, former Giants center Brad Benson offered Jones a free car from his New Jersey dealership in a wacky radio commercial if he called off "International Burn a Koran Day." After Jones canceled, his church called up Benson to collect his prize. From the AP:

"They said unless I was doing false advertising, they would like to arrange to pick up the car," Benson recalled. At first he thought it was a hoax, so Benson asked Jones to send in a copy of his driver's license. He did.

Jones promises that he didn't cancel his Koran-burning for the free 2011 Hyundai Accent. Good. But if we learn Jones sold out for a $14,000 Hyundai, we'll stage a new round of violent protests that will make those in Afghanistan look like a Lakers championship celebration. Because if there's one thing we believe, it's that an entire month's-worth of news cycle merits at least a pimped-out Lincoln Navigator with DVDs on the backs of all the seats. Does that thing even have GPS? How dare they denigrate our outrage with a shitty Korean car.
