America's going wild for Domino's new $5.99 Bread Bowl Pasta (Mmm!), so now's a great time to recall the story of Domino's poor "Pasta Dude": the anthropomorphic penne that was too hot for TV:
Before the Bread Bowl Pasta came an earlier pasta ad campaign by Domino's starring "Pasta Dude," who rapped and really connected to my generation by doing so. But—true story—the ad was pulled from TV after a public outcry over what people perceived as Pasta Dude smackin' some imaginary ass, in his pasta dance. God bless America. [So Good Blog via Adrants]
