Senior Producer, Studio@Gawker

New York

About the Company

The Gawker Media Group is the publisher of some of the web's best-loved brands and communities, Gizmodo, Jezebel, Deadspin, Kotaku, Jalopnik, Lifehacker, and the eponymous Gawker.

We are defining the cutting edge of native advertising across our range of blogs.  Our custom campaign work for top-tier brands such as Netflix, Jaguar and Microsoft gets noticed and generates meaningful results for both our media and our brand clients.

About the Role

Gawker Media is looking for a Senior Video Producer to join the Studio@Gawker team. Studio@Gawker is our in-house creative shop — producers, writers, designers, strategists, and technologists who invent, inspire, and create original ideas with our brand partners. We transform these original ideas into tangible, authentic experiences from start to finish, production to promotion. Think advertising campaigns, across all media types — video, articles and events, with a uniquely Gawker touch.

Studio@Gawker’s recent work for Hulu was recognized as one of 2015's Best Native Advertising campaigns by AdAge.  Additionally, Studio@Gawker was named ‘Best Content Studio” in the most recent Digiday Publishing Awards.

The Senior Producer will be responsible for owning the video development process for multiple clients and projects from beginning to end. They will be a creative partner during brainstorming sessions, and work collaboratively with internal and external resources to bring our projects to fruition, managing the entire project lifecycle, from pre-production through launch. Video projects can range from shoestring productions shot on a smartphone for pennies, to broadcast-quality campaigns with budgets of hundreds of thousands of dollars. The Senior Producer should be very comfortable with both extremes, and the vast range of possibilities in-between.
