Hello. I think most of the things you listed are certainly worth attention and need solutions--but I was talking about something that would motivate the average person to protest in a physical sense. Historically, those issues which led to protests or actual revolution have been unpopular wars, the right to vote, extreme poverty or de jurie racial/gender discrimination.
I am not sure any of the issues you listed fit that definition--except for the war in Iraq. And since we have an all-volunteer army, most people are not riled up about that either, even though they disagree with it. I certainly do.
But that is just my opinion!

And yeah, the meetup was really fun. Better than the first one. Wish you could have been there but now that PPG & Megan C. are admins, we're going to do it much more often.

You and Kat are ruling CH today. I think it's pretty obvious what he meant when taking the words into context. I can understand why people might be offended, but I think they're jumping to conclusions.

Oh no! Evicted! That is terrible. Do you need anything? Obviously, staying in Philadelphia wouldn't be helpful to you, but I could store stuff for you, or something.
For some reason, Jezebel (and only Jezebel) will not let me open any of the posts. When I try and go to the article, or look at the comments, I just get pages full of unintelligible code. I have told the folks in charge about it, but they say nothing.

If they spent as much time locking up all the privileged white college students who sling as they do brown kids on the street, the drug war would be over within five years because all their parents would be in uproar about the mandatory sentences.
