Mick Foley, a former WWE wrestler who used to be adored nationwide (some say worldwide but unlikely), was disqualified from Philadelphia's Wing Bowl on Friday after stuffing uneaten wings in a fanny pack in order to increase his total. Disrespect is thy name, man who wrestled with mask on.

The annual competition to prove who is the champion of stuffing coated bird wings into his or her mouth in the highest number and at the fastest speed was staged today at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, and all suckers, punks, and jerkoffs were disqualified. This year, there was only one elimination: Michael Francis "Mick" Foley, Sr. aka Mankind aka the kind of man who won't be welcome back to Philadelphia for as long as he shall live. Via the AP:

People following Friday's event on social media dubbed Foley's antics "inflate gate," a play on the Super Bowl-bound New England Patriots' deflated football controversy.

The winning title instead went to a competitive eating dignitary from the Midwestern city of Chicago, Patrick Bertoletti, who housed 444 coated bird wings in 26 minutes. Bertoletti dethroned former queen Molly Schuyler, who put back 363 wings the prior year. Neither have commented on Foley's scandal, instead opting to keep class, grace, and elegance in the Wing Bowl, where it belongs:

"I was full at the end of the second round and I had to dig deep I didn't want to lose," Bertoletti said as the digestion began. "She's amazing. Just the best."

"He's awesome," Schuyler said of Bertoletti. "No shame in losing to this guy. I love this guy."

Congratulations to Bertoletti and may this offense leave a permanent unwashable stain on Mick Foley's career in competitive eating.
