Fumbling for words, the cherubic-faced actor who hopes his sexual preference is the least interesting thing about him (but, at this moment at least, hopes in vain), accuses Washington of having dropped a pink f-bomb on the otherwise happy family set. As for Washington's announcement to the Golden Globes press room that, "No, I did not call T.R. a faggot. Never happened, never happened," Knight responded: "I don't know what to say really about that." Translation: "I know exactly what to say about that. He's lying and we all want him off the show." Next move is Washington's, where he may be compelled to take talk show countermeasures, appearing on Jimmy Kimmel with a roster of references in tow to vouch for his unabashed love of gay and Gays: everyone from director Spike Lee, who once nearly fired the actor for channeling a black, gay Republican too well, and noted lesbian acquaintance Chastity Bono.
