Gay Rights Organization Briefly Evacuated After Bomb ThreatThe Washington, D.C., headquarters of the gay-rights organization Human Rights Campaign was evacuated this morning after D.C. police passed on an unspecified bomb threat, according to Metro Weekly.

The local gay-affairs newspaper reported the threat via its Twitter feed. The D.C. police notified HRC of a "potential bomb threat" at 11:45 a.m., and the organization cleared the building, telling Metro Weekly that "out of an abundance of caution the building has been evacuated and police are assessing the situation."

The police gave an "all clear" roughly an hour later. Get ready for more of this sort of thing.
