A blogger for Philadelphia's premier e-magazine has come up with a foolproof way of ensuring her family gets fed this Christmas: She's offering to promote one lucky area restaurant in exchange for "an amazing night dining out" free of charge.
Sarah Lockard, CEO of AroundMainLine.com, which celebrates "the socially rich western suburbs of Philly's Main Line and surrounding region," is being justifiably mocked for an email she recently sent to select restaurants that she hopes will take advantage of this "exciting opportunity."
It's simple, really: All the restaurant has to do is provide Lockard and her four family members with their fill of food and drinks on the house, and in return she promises to take five Instagram photos during the meal and share them with her 560 followers.
But that's not all: You'll also get two Facebook posts on her site's Facebook page "promoting the respective restaurant as the restaurant of choice for AML’s family for Christmas Eve."
If you call now, you'll also get two ads in the AML e-newsletter — that's over 3,000 uniques!
The entire PR package is valued (by Lockard) at over $1,000. The terrible aftertaste is free.
