Insane Saudi Texts While Speeding Down Highway on the Hood of a Car

Saudi Arabia is practically infamous for just how batshit insane its drivers are. Jalopnik once attributed this to "open desert roads," but it probably has a little something to do with having too many men on the road at one time.

But that's neither here nor there, especially since this video is just as much about the recklessness of the driver as it is about the death wish of his passenger.

While traveling from Riyadh to Mecca, one passing motorist noticed a man texting away on his BlackBerry while sitting on the hood of a car going over 90km/h (56 mp/h).

Some of the commenters criticized the daredevil for failing to heed his mother's sage advice about not taking unnecessary risks.

You can be sure that if his mother were allowed to be behind the wheel, this sort of this would never have come to pass.
