The New York Times threw some real shade today with an article reminding the world that Jason Kidd once recorded a really terrible rap song called "What the Kidd Did."

Kidd's contribution to the musical canon consists of four minutes of stilted rhyming over a luxurious G-Funk beat. Sample lyric: "I'm the new kid on the block, but they jock, still/I got skills with the rock."

The song was a cut off an album called B-Balls Best Kept Secret—also featuring players like Gary Payton and Shaq—which the Times helpfully points out can be purchased from Amazon for the low, low cost of a penny.
