Dropped in the still of the night by Sony, the first official teaser trailer for Skyfall — the twenty-third installment in Eon Productions' 50-year-old James Bond film series — reveals about as much as those next-episode previews at the end of Mad Men.

This is what we know: Daniel Craig reprises his role as Her Majesty's most baccarat-proficient assassin; Bond has his loyalty to M tested as "secrets from her past" come to light; Javier Bardem plays an antagonist who is "more than a villain"; and American Beauty director Sam Mendes is at the helm, so make of that what you will.

Skyfall lands in theaters November 9th.
