Clarkson downplayed the dangers of identity theft after two discs full of child-benefit claimants were lost last October. To prove potential victims had nothing to fear, Clarkson published his bank account number, routing info, and instructions on how to procure his home address in his weekly Sun column. He certainly proved his point.
