Who
The niece of the former President of the United States, Bush is a fashion model, social fixture, and the girlfriend of fashion heir David Lauren.
Backstory
The daughter of Sharon and Neil Bush, George W.'s younger brother, Lauren was raised in Houston and headed off to Princeton after high school. She began pursuing a career in fashion while she was still in college, taking time off from school to model, study clothing design at Parsons and intern for Zac Posen. Bush continued to model after graduating and settling in New York: Despite not quite having the looks or proportions of your average working model, the political scion was quickly signed up by Elite. She's since posed in campaigns for the likes of Tommy Hilfiger and Abercrombie & Fitch, appeared on the cover of a handful of magazines (like Vogue Australia, W, Tatler, and Glamour), and walked in runway shows for a handful of low-profile European fashion designers.
In person
Lauren's look is essentially "prettiest girl on the prep school field hockey team," and her public image is similarly wholesome. While Jenna and Barbara had numerous run-ins with the law over their underage drinking, and Jeb Bush's daughter, Noelle, was arrested on charges of prescription fraud, Lauren appears to be the good girl in the family. Over the past few years, she's championed the cause of ending world hunger as part of her role as the young ambassador for the World Food Program.
Personal
Lauren has been dating David Lauren, Ralph Lauren's son and the head of marketing at the company, since 2005. She lives in the West Village.
No joke
In 2005, 31-year-old MIT graduate Lucas Schloming was arrested for stalking Bush and harassing her via email. He was nabbed by Secret Service while wandering the Princeton campus; Schloming explained that he hadn't been taking his anti-psychotic medication.
