Users of Second Life, particularly owners of virtual businesses, are up in arms over scheduled downtime today, May 23rd, from 6am - 12pm PDT, for a significant release upgrade to largely address bug fixes. Linden Labs, the maker of the online virtual world, announced the downtime for technical repairs yesterday on their blog, giving users little notice. The scheduled downtime comes on the heels of a rolling update yesterday which was made to address other bugs introduced in an earlier release upgrade. Apparently, Second Life isn't only overrun with griefers and ageplayers but is also rife with technical issues and bugs.
