Yesterday we reported on our enjoyment of the Minnesota senate race between Republican Norm Coleman and comedian Al Franken. Today a blogger has posted a mailer from the National Republican Senatorial Committee that looks like a cozy children's book. Among other things, the mailer alleges Franken derives pleasure from writing rape jokes. Click for more really offensive cartoons from the Coleman book.

The mailer opens with a pedophile opening his door:

How dare Al think his own writing is humorous. This is one damning children's book.

Blogger John Aravosis suggested that Franken's caricaturization verges on the anti-Semitic, but of course Norm Coleman is a Jew, too, although evidently not a very good one.
