[Blogs] can't be a lesser standard than you would use for page 1 of The New York Times.

NBC's Brian Williams makes a comparison potentially injurious both to blogs and The New York Times in this video segment explaining why he does the blog thing now. Of the several amusing moments, our favorite is his take on reacting to negative commenters: "I think we all have a hatred limit. ... I don't have to just wallow in how hateable I am." Untrue on both counts! If nothing else, we recommend regular executions to increase one's tolerance both for hatred and wallowing in self-hatred.
