Ask and ye shall receive: A kind soul sent us the video of Jodi Applegate's on-screen freakout, and it's every bit as enjoyable as we expected. At this point we feel any further comment would be superfluous; just watch and enjoy.

Jodie A was my den mom.
"that was not cool dude."
i want jodi to smack me too. her outrage is no deterrent for the naughty.
NOT COOL DUDE
Even better than I expected. NOT COOL, can't you see the CHILDREN are WATCHING????
Yeah, there are children watching our feature ... about how cool it is to steal bicycles!
Totally. Like, really cool.
I agree. Def cool dude. Cool
Jodi has officially replaced Penny Crone as my favorite tough newsgal. Especially liked the "yo yo yo" cocked thumb and forefinger hand motions accompanying "Not cool, dude."
I guess someone should point out that the guys in the clip are the Neistat Brothers.

The original bike theft video was made several years ago, but has been re-circulating the web for the last few weeks.
Anyone know the name of the "not cool" dude? We'd like to offer him a job.
Oh, whoops. Woe is the near-simultaneous commenting process.
I hope no children saw that and were discouraged from stealing bicycles by the possibility of injury. That would be tragic.
someones been watching reruns of full house. and kids watch fox news?
i gotta say, fox sucks, but she was kinda hilarious!
All hail the power of YouTube.
Several years ago I was but a lost puppy looking for salvation and meaning in this cruel, cruel world.
YouTube has given it to me. And this clip may be the crowning jewel in my personal YouTube archive.
Eh...boring, nt "cool." And she wasn't nearly as shrill as the reports made her out to be.
At risk of guillotine:
Yeah, there are kids watching in the morning. It was a stupid prank done outside of any appropriate context, and was potentially (if only briefly) disturbing to viewers. Entirely unprofessional, even for comedians. So, yeah, they deserved what they got.
It's always funny, though, to see a newsanchor lose his/her shit on the air.
"our air"!
There are so many things wrong with that freakout it's hard to know where to begin. So I'll just pick one.
Even though this is soft news, it is still news. If you are a real journalist, you do not stop a report in the middle, unless you are Larry King and have to fart.
Ms. Applegate is probably just pissed cause someone else got the attention her ever-smiling newsanchor self lives and dies for. Or maybe she was scared of being sued. ("This was not planned by me!" As if you were that cool.)
On 9/11, I'm sure hundreds of kids saw the Twin Towers go up in smoke. If they can handle that, they can handle Mister Nutzy and his Fake Ketchup Blood.
Jodi....well, there's no other word....totally, totally NOT COOL!
But I still think your Nancy Grace clip of her yelling at the guy with the rape stats beats this by a smidge.
so hot! thdx3, i LOVE Penny Crone, I remember when she stuck her microphone through a mail slot when trying to get a soundbite from a slum lord. priceless! this ranks right up there.
If theyre so concerned with children watching then why are they showing them how to take a saw to a bike chain? Those guys totes should have turned the saw on that whiney biatch. Fox news sucks anyway. Atleast one morning is slightly more exciting than watching grass grow.
If we can no longer trust a pair of stunt comedians to stay on script, what, if anything, can we count on?
Not cool dude indeed, not cool dude indeed.
Guess Jodi got her sense of humor banged out of her when she was "interviewing" for her on-air position.
If I was a kid watching the Fox morning show, I'd be more freaked out by the public chastizing than the fake-mutilation gag (not to mention how freaked out I'd be by the fact that I had parents who watch Fox news). Watching someone get yelled at is more traumatic for kids that a little fake violence, because that's what kids stress out about, getting in trouble for having fun. They're used to that ketchup-packet schtick. Applegate's way uptight...maybe her dad was like George Bluth Sr. and hired a one-armed man to teach her life lessons (although she clearly didn't heed "And that's why you don't yell.")?
Take II...
If anything, kids today were disappointed there was no gushing blood pouring out of the screaming fool on the ground.
At the risk of being banned for nitpicking, this was on Fox 5, the local Fox affiliate, not Fox News Channel. The former has Jodi Applegate, the latter has Bill O'Reilly.
That video was funny, though. "Not cool" reminded me of the Geico caveman: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LO7YlZCOPVc&search=geico%20...
Not bad. Still not as funny as when a guy pretended to blow himself up during a Fox-5 piece on how to freebase
nice. it's like one of George Bluth's "lessons" on Arrested Development: and that's why you never let people try to steal a bicycle on your local news show!
.....Do they not have bolt-cutters in New York? That's how I learned to steal bikes! One snip, and ride off. No one's going to stand there with some power tool, sawing and spraying sparks for that long! Not cool!
