Is Paris Hilton a liar? Or a scientific genius?

It seems that even though she's been on TV touting to David Letterman that she's trademarked the saying That's Hot - it appears she may not be telling the whole truth, which kids, is not hot. It's not even cool. It actually hasn't been approved at all. Yet.

Check out the application's status on the USPTO site here and here, and then start saving up for the post-trademark-appeal Paris-wear, such as official Paris Hilton That's Hot "pencil sharpeners, erasers, electronic toys, trading cards, mirrors, and stuffed animals" - yes, honestly, that's what it says. And "shot glasses" too. Nice.

This inspired up to do a little research of our own. We searched for Paris Hilton in the US Patent and Trademark Office files, and it turns out our little Paris is smarter than we may think: she's involved in some cutting-edge cytokine research. Yep, PARIS HILTON IS GOING TO CURE AIDS. You heard it here first.
