December in medialand is unlike any other month. Dark weeks! Holiday bonuses (or, more interesting, a lack thereof)! Lots and lots of swag — exchanged among reporters and sources and salesmen and buyers and flacks and editors and everyone! And, most important, parties!

Yes, there'll be a series of remarkably drunken parties, all around town, this month, at which those aforementioned swag-exchangers drink heavily on their bosses' tabs, bitch about the year that's ending, bitch about the year that's coming, share not-insignificant amounts of recreational drugs in the bathrooms, and occasionally hook up with coworkers in ways sufficiently public to create embarrassing situations at the office the next day.

In fact, Media Christmas season starts tonight, with Teen Vogue's edit-staff party at La Esquina and Lucky's party at Hotel QT.

And we want to know all about it.

(Also, we'd appreciate a better name than "Media Christmas." Lacking a Cal State professor to invent a December holiday for us, we're looking to you. Media Christmas? Mediakkah? Magzaa? We're open to suggestions.)
