"What are we going to do?" wondered Elliot. "Beat them with the Sunday Times?"
I think the NYT may have just found a slogan for its first T-shirt.
I had loved the idea of all the gay Times men hanging out with each other--Frank Bruni and Ben Brantley as reimagined by Tom of Finland, lounging around their workstations in leather chaps and jaunty Greek sailor hats--but Brantley had to go and ruin the whole illusion.
Sigh. Back to the Mitch McConnell/Dick Cheney slashfic, I guess.
woah... wheres this "fuck chicago" come from? I lived in Chicago for 17 years before I moved to New York, and I can honestly say that Chicago is WAY cooler of a place, if only because its devoid of pretentious assholes that think their city is the only one that matters in America. Even though half those assholes arent even FROM new york! you can "execute" me if you want, but I'm sorry, I'm gonna take this personally. Chi town for life motherfuckers!
@marvel girl: how very chicago of you.
p.s. the only cool thing jean grey ever did was become dark phoenix and die
Yeah, fuck other cities! Right on! Greenpoint rules!
@marvel girl: Excuse me, we are pretentious assholes who know this city is the only one that matters in America.
@momo: how could you possibly say that? Jean Grey is THE most powerful mutant on this planet. how that isnt cool is beyond me.
scratch that. shes the most powerful superhero (maybe besides the sentry) on earth, shes saved wolverines life countless times, saved the world from the shi'ar empire, and has fucked both wolverine and cyclops, something i'm sure youve only dreamed of.
> [Jean Grey] has fucked both wolverine and cyclops,
> something i'm sure youve only dreamed of.
We're criticizing Momo for not sleeping with non-existent things? Because, you know, he hasn't done Pikachu, or Mayor Bloomberg's sense of style.
brantley looks like a mackerel
As a resident of the Flyover Zone myself, I'm curious, MarvelGirl, as to what made you move to NYC from Chicago.
I nominate everyone who is talking about video games and superheroes. In the comment section. On Gawker.
