An always cantankerous (but also frequently correct) friend emails this morning with a cantankerous but correct dilemma:

I tried to run my Metrocard thru the reader this morning and got an insufficient fare message. Turns out I had $1 on the card due to the MTA's stupid holiday discounts. I knew this would happen. What the hell am I supposed to do with one dollar — find a senior citizen to take for a ride? I hate the MTA.

Anyone have any ideas of how to get rid of that last, lonely dollar? (At the very least, you could take a handicapped person for a ride, too, right?) Mildly irritated minds want to know.
