
Why does this shiny computer-generated vision of the High Line make us want to cry a little? Oh right — because it's never ever going to look like that if/when it gets built.
In any event — this picture accompanies a piece by the new NYT architecture critic Nicolai Ouroussoff. I'm still asleep (cough hungover) today, so maybe it's me, but the story strikes me as way tepid. Hey, Ouroussoff, you're brand new in town! Shouldn't you be breaking a chair over someone's head to prove yourself the alpha-critic?
