TODO is one daily thing recommended for you, by us.
We spend a lot of time beating up on Park Slope, we admit. So we figured it might be time to turn the other cheek, or whatever, and give PS a little love. We're crazy about Union Hall, the bar on Union St. between 5th and 6th aves., for several reasons. One, it looks like a library. Two, the crowd is actually and legitimately diverse—you'll encounter everyone from Park Slope lesbians to Park Slope preppies and Park Slope hipsters, all happily imbibing and snacking on decent chi-chi bar food like chicken dumplings and flatbread. (But no Park Slope children! This Rainbow Coalition only goes so far.) Three, bocce! Four, live music. Five, unpretentious bartenders and reasonably priced drinks. Six, close to the subway. Seven, taxidermy lessons!
