We've long had an odd fascination with the one-line distillations of television shows that appear in TV listings and program guides. With an old roommate, we shared a particular fondness for episode summaries that inadvertently describe an entire series: "Kevin realizes he has feelings for Winnie"; "Joey's misunderstanding causes problems for the gang"; "Tragedy strikes the ER."
So you can imagine how pleased we were when blogger Fish Drink Water directed us to this Time Warner Cable description of "Some of My Best Friends," Jason Bateman's little-known "gay" series, which has just come to Logo, the new gay cable network:
