As we warned you a few weeks ago, today in Amsterdam a bunch of cash-strapped and generally desperate women took to the streets and raced in stilettos, hoping to win just under $12k. The event was sponsored by Dutch Glamour and our correspondent abroad reports that despite the dangerous combination of high heels and cobblestone roads, there were no twisted ankles or bloodied knees. At the celebration following the race, however, some women reported dry mouth, excessive hunger, and bleary-eyed confusion.
