So, it's been real everyone. I made it pretty long without getting de-starred - I probably should have gone in one of the purges last year. I invite you all to come visit me and a few friends in a couple of weeks. Check out my blog (click on my user name if you don't know how to find it) for information about where and when. I look forward to hosting a space for actual feminist commentary that includes the intersectionality of oppression. PM your email if you want to be on a list or add me as a friend and I'll do my best to PM each and every one of you. Cheers peoples!

@NellMood: I've emailed Jenna and Morning Gloria. I have to go to work now but I'll check in later this afternoon. This might just be a sign from the heavens that I need to take an internet fast. Anyway.

@BabyJane: Jenna. I've sent her an email asking her the whys and wherefores. A warning would have been nice.

@BicuriousShoes: I don't think so. Late night troll patrolling?

Yep, so, star gone. Ciao, lovelies.

@ajlien03: Your feelings are really important to me. Go read Derailing for Dummies.
I'm just going to go take a few deep breaths now, but if we could make it a bannable offense to tell people to relax about racism, that'd be great. Did we get cross-posted somewhere insane today? I feel like a ton of new commenters appeared to be assholes.

And this little gem: [jezebel.com]

Some people need Derailing for Dummies stapled to their computers.

@AGirlNamedPi: Also, you're so unoriginal there's even a handy link to send you to!

@AGirlNamedPi: You're just...a troll. Full of logical fallacies.
@AGirlNamedPi: Lighten up? Trenchant commentary. Thanks for feeling so compelled to write 100 words. "If I was really interested in undercurrents of racism"? Listen, you know nothing about me and your your little hissy fit is not appreciated. Life is short. Some of us like to think. Try to deal.
@sexysecularist: Ah well. How YOU doin'? Heh. It was mostly the assumption that pissed me off. I feel like this entire day has been invaded by youtube commenters. Would that I was active enough to make a new PDD-thingy to express this...business. This is why I'm letting you do all the articulate-ness requiring things. Mush brain.
@reefs777: Sure. So that's all the discussion *you're* interested in having. So you can relax. Trying to impose your own idea on what's acceptable discourse...not so relaxing. Actions in societies have meaning. People discuss meaning. I find subtle undercurrents of racism fascinating, is it okay with you if I comment on them? On a website pretty much specifically geared to hosting such discussions?
@queenhobart: That just sounds like a nice compliment to Jimi Hendrix. How could that be racist though? Dylan wrote it. I think it's really optimistic to see that as a move to respecting music across lines of race. When you consider that American pop music is mostly stolen from uncredited and unpaid black artists.
