Let's also remember that reporters also don't like it when PR firms don't do their research and waste their time pitching them a story that they would never ever write. You can't have it both ways.
Frankly, I'm not convinced Meghan McCain would be a republican if McCain wasn't her last name. She has shown liberal views on social issues and pleads the fifth on economic issues. I sometimes think she plays up this "I'm a young, cool republican" thing because she saw an opportunity to be on TV.
What I like about thongs is that they make no bones about the fact that they will be up your ass. Unlike every other kind of undies that are all like, "we're comfy" and then get up your ass anyway, thongs let you know right from the start where they're going. I find that honestly refreshing. Plus, if it's always up your butt you get used to it.
This really isn't the issue you're making it out to be. They said the same criticisms of stiffness and lack of softness to many male athletes on the show. I remember Evan Lysacek being constantly told to be less stiff in his movements. The contestants signed on to a show that is based around a ballroom dancing competition, a recreational activity that has been around for years, and requires different strengths and characteristics for both the male and female partner participating. They are giving Hope the same criticism they would give any other female contestant who gave a stiff performance, no matter if she were an athlete or not.
Why no mention of how great sleepers JR and Chynna were? JR's performance was the highlight of the night I thought. Also, I don't really mind that Lacey writhed around... That's sort of the main tactic the pros take when their partner isn't as strong, especially in the latin dances.
Ugh, with each new casting announcement I just get sadder and sadder. I love this show, but not when everyone on it is horribly unpleasant. PLEASE get us someone more likable!
While I'm not sure about slut-shaming, there is a definite sense of "Not all women are created equal" on this site. What I mean by that is, I feel like there are certain female celebrities that get very harsh treatment from the writers and commenters while other get very nice treatment for no reason other than the clothes they wear of the movies they're in or the songs they sing. While I certainly don't care for ever female celebrity, I don't like how this site plays favorites and says negative things about women for the sake of pageviews. So I guess even though it wasn't particularly well-written, there is some validity in Courtney's criticism. Also wasn't there mention of slut-shaming in the Paris Hilton post earlier today?
I guess my issue is that I enjoy sex. I like doing it. And if I'm dating someone, I'm gonna wanna do it with them. Because it's fun. It's not a bargaining chip or a big prize, it's something I enjoy doing. In fact, I would rather do it sooner so if the relationship does go somewhere we can have more sex in the long run. Why is the discourse that women have to withhold to get a husband? Why shouldn't we do something we enjoy if we're responsible about it?
I really hate Scarlett Johansson. She's not a good actress! She keeps getting this free pass cause of Lost in Translation but she is the worst. She also looks like she would steal my boyfriend and then be bitchy about it.
