I mean there are probably any number of gals with her same "skills" living within a city block of any of us. Why does ANYONE care what happens with her, let alone devote air time/page views to covering her?!

Is the inclusion of vodka generally acceptable post rehab decorum?

<![CDATA[busyness commented on Obama's Grandmother Dies]]> It appears her passing was expected, so I hope his recent visit with her went a long way to helping him to cope with his loss. Still, so sad that she missed seeing her beloved grandson make history by just one day. (knock on wood, etc.)

<![CDATA[busyness commented on The 5 Costumes You Meet At A Halloween Party]]> Here are some of my favorites:

1) I used to work in San Francisco where there are bike messengers everywhere. One Halloween, I saw a messenger wearing a business suit and carrying a briefcase. (Get it? Costume for him.)

2) Man with a multitude of Barbie dolls stuck all over him. He was a chick magnet.

3) Friends of mine went to a party this year as "Peace and Quiet". He was dressed up as a hippie and she was dressed up as a mime.

<![CDATA[busyness commented on Jennifer Hudson's Mother, Brother Dead]]> So sad. My thoughts are with the family.

On a separate, but related note, I saw this quote in a story about the incident.

"Davis-Balfour said she had asked police to allow her 15-year-old daughter, Sensuous, to talk with William Balfour, but said authorities would not let her speak to him."

Seriously, who names a child "Sensuous"?!

<![CDATA[busyness commented on Sarah Palin, Mark Wahlberg, Alec Baldwin and Dr. Evil in Awkward SNL Opener]]> Am I the only one who can't imagine why the GOP thought it was a good idea for Sarah Palin to appear on SNL? Or for that matter why they thought John McCain should return to David Letterman?

The bad decisions, big and small, just keep coming from that campaign.

<![CDATA[busyness commented on Colin Powell Endorses Barack Obama]]> What an eloquent explanation of an obviously well thought-out and sensible decision. I have nothing but the highest respect for this man and his ability to look beyond party lines and make a choice based on wht's right for the country. If only more could do the same.

I love me some Terry Tate.
