Hi! Sorry, I had gone to bed last night. No, it's not ok to write dishonest "memoirs," but there was a part of me that wished that Oprah recognized that one of the reasons people aggrandize in that way is because it gets them on the talk shows. Because getting your teeth pulled out without novocaine is apparently something she wants to bring to light. Now, sure, there are other culprits in this picture, and my appeal to her was a bit flippant, but I think she does have to take some responsibility for that, particularly when she's in quite the position to impose a change.

Hey, sorry to not respond in the thread, but I've been out of town. I haven't had to work through a temp agency in several years, thank whatever there is to thank. But the wretch who stole my personal information worked for AppleOne (also known as Remedy Temps). I can't prove it since it's been too long, but it was a co-worker of hers who took pity on me and let me know privately that she saw a partly-filled out credit card app on the thief's desk with my information written in it. Given that I was hardly going to be filing for credit cards while unemployed, I can assure you I didn't accidentally drop the app in the office or anything.

What kind of a hollow braincase does it take to rob credit from unemployed people? When you find out, like I did soon after, that AppleOne/Remedy is run by members and affiliates of the so-called "Church" of Scientology, you start to see a pattern of craziness. Think they give a damn about their reputation? LOL.

Oh, by the way, I won't work with Robert Half anymore, either, because they lie like rugs. I don't care if they send me on a long-term assignment with an end date. I just don't want to be lied to and told that it's a permanent placement from day one, and then have the girl on maternity leave show up at the office to take her job back, and get it. If I fall for that again, I do not want to be escorted out by a security officer without my personal belongings as if I had stolen from them. And I do not want my third and subsequent paychecks to reflect a lower pay scale than I agreed to take, because "we decided to give them a discount." Arrrrgh.

Snap Judgement = minimal work for hits (understandable given the blogger workload), so I doubt it'd disappear, but I dislike having those sly (or not so sly) prods in the titles. If we're guinea pigs, it'd be nice to know.
