Are you serious about El Pollo Loco giving money to Prop 8?! Do you have a list of other businesses who gave it money. I pray that King Taco isn't on there, cause to be honest, I don't know if I'll be able to give that up.

You know, sometimes I realise that I don't really know enough about certain things to comment on them, and the way the campaign was run in California (or any state for that matter) was out of my league. I was theorising on something I didn't have all the information on, which of course will lead to some "faulty" conclusions.

I think it's incredibly sad that the No on Prop 8 community wasn't more responsive to cooperation with the black community (they do overlap as well, of course).
I'm sure the future will bring better tidings for the gay population of California and the US as a whole.

Okay, I missed the blow-up in CH that was obviously partly my fault.
I didn't mean to imply that the Obama campaign secretly worked to derail No on Prop 8, really, I didn't.
I was just throwing a stream-of-conciousness theory out there, more of a musing, really. And I didn't mean to apply it just to black voters, but to also to the other minorities Obama was appealing to. I felt, and still feel, like someone might have known that a higher turnout of black/latino voters would risk the No on Prop 8 thing.
That is not to say that I believe these voters are responsible for the result or that I believe there's one big conspiracy going on. It was a theory, that is all. I never intended it to be more, and I definitely never intended it to be hurtful.
