I think I saw that as a small child. My favorite though was The Addams Family Halloween special....which should come out on DVD by golly!!!
This is making me cry. I can't imagine what the family is going through. Peace be with them.
I work with developmentally disabled adults and it gets me steaming mad that Palin is saying all these things about improving programs, etc..., for them and yet doesn't want to fund them. BOOOO!!!!!!!! :-(
@TaraIncognita:
I agree that it isn't the fault of the child. What parents have to realize, in general, is that just because your child doesn't fall within the 'normal' child catergory doean't mean that the child has a disorder.
@BoredButNoLongerInNH:
It is over-diagnosed. Suddenly, within the last couple of years, tons of people have been diagnosed with it. I just think that it has quickly become the 'flavor of the month' diagnosis. Much like ADHD was/still is.
@tscheese:
I was talking about the parents, and individuals, out there who deem themselves ,or their children, to have Aspergers even though they have never been diagnosed. Also, I really feel that it is being overdianosed just like ADHD has been.
@TaraIncognita:
I have actually worked with people with autsim before so I do know what I am talking about. Gee thanks. Aspergers is becoming a 'flavor of the month' disorder to diagnose your child with. I have seen a countless number of people online, and in real life, who claim to have Aspergers even though they have never been professionaly diagnosed. Just because a person is socially backwards doesn't mean that they have Aspergers.

I have worked with people who have autism before. What I am trying to say is that I have seen parents with children who are completely 'normal' claim that their children have Aspergers. I feel that it is over diagnosed. Children,period, act strange, but that doesn't mean that they have a disorder. Aspergers has become a sort of 'flavor of the month' thing to diagnose your child with. Just like ADHD was a few years back.
Good for Guy.

I would have to agree to a point with Mr. Leary. The whole 'my child has Aspergers because they are anti-social' thing is getting really annoying quick.

What exactly is she famous for?
@roqstar:
I was upset when Joey Ramone died because I thought he was great. If somebody I don't like musically dies I think it's sad but I'm not going to mourn in the same way. Makes sense?
@lionel-mandrake:
I'm the same way about ants. *shivers*
I think it's sad when people are injured but the fangirls/boys of Barker are annoying as hell. Blink was an awful pop-punk band, and that's about it.
@SlickaNicka:

They were a really bad pop-punk band. Hell, I'm under 50 and I have never listened to them....on purpose.

I think it's sad when anybody is injured but I keep seeing Barker being presented all over the web as if he is some sort of musical genius or important musician. He was the drummer for a really bad pop-punk bad people....not the second coming of Mozart.
I discovered goth around 1986. I wore black lipstick and had skull buckled boots back then and got teased to death in high school. Within the last few years I have finally detatched myself from the subculture because it was making me very unhappy associating with people whom I have nothing in common with. The subculture has changed and I feel no connection with it, or the new people populating it, any longer. I will always love horror films and have a dark sense of humor but the subculture has changed for the worst and I want nothing to do with it.
So, if you're poor you can't have fun. Instead you are supposed to just sit at home all day and stare at the tv. All of you people blaming the victim and saying crap about being poor are all destined to fail. Really.
I am sooo tired of Anne Rice type vampires. I'll take Christopher Lee's Dracula over angst ridden bloodsuckers thank you very much.
He could totally win this. I hope he does at least, because maybe that would make the Hollywood dumbasses who greenlight remakes and 'tribute' movies think twice.
Good gothic horror movies, in general, haven't been made since Hammer Productions originally folded. I really hope that his vision of Frankenstein and Dr. Jekyll And Mr. Hyde is as good as those films are.
