Meet-up at Naidre's sometime? From your references, we must be practically neighbors.

Hidey Ho,
The Masai unable to cross the plains to greet a friend, will sometimes their hands, and shout, "I see you".
"I see you."

That's so interesting because I read the speech before I listened to it, and I was thinking the same thing! Underwhelming...I was imagining it in the stentorian tones of an MLK Jr. or something.

just poked around a bit at your pseudopresence in Gawker namespace. I'd backfill post into a few relevant comments of yours, but this being one of those urinary web 2.0 Ad Venture Business Models, it's all about fresh content to keep page view counts up, cause billions must be served to drive a click-through count high enough to pay salaries and utility bills. It's also a fucking scam, because the new content is being driven out of the userbase for free. Another common User_Dbase is the present web code trend toward no functionality to facilitate extended discourses for website user/lusers. If they are dilly-dallying, wasting their precious mental cycles on topics that were so last week's streams, they are not doing their part, aiding in the shitloads of free content production, essential for a continued web presence role playing in the 2.0 fantasy world. The use of 'shitload' was not just superfluous expletive, as much of this user produced free content is viewed as website excrement for tomorrow's flushing caches into storage containers that can be sifted, scavenged and collated by search engine spiders.
Obtuse will be my epitaph...
Anyway, I posted here, because I am close to certain you'll see it, and if I were instead to post a response within a Gawker media muse, that probability drops off quickly, approaching nil in a direct relationship with the length of time since it was published.
I was greatly amused reading roger's guise_card dealing from the bottom of the deck. Tannehaus a neocon? Utterly absurd, he's a hot to trotskyite splay-legged slattern journo, possessing wits so slug-like, he'd call up last night's date rape to give thanks for the good time.
In case you missed though: a new Neocon apologetics is presently published at Vanity Fair. Wurmser is shrieking harpishly in renunciate mode, and exhibiting one of their most odious traits: loyalty deficit disorder. Rolling an Ambassador's wife on the opponent's team is a trifling not worthy of concern to a group who would with malice and forethought, plus without twinge of guilt, betray their own grandmothers to the Spanish Inquisition. Eliott Abrams has been set-up to take the fall, should the dogs not take the blood scent of the bait left in the Bush Administration in their carnage of backstabbing at the moment of departure.
More than long enough for an introductory ravening inbound from the elliptic. Here's the citation for the Vanity Fair piece:
David Rose, "The Gaza Bombshell", Vanity fair, April 2008 - [www.vanityfair.com]
As a final eccentricFugue: I finally departed the Libertarian party, when powers they claim to be decided that Bob Barr was an LP member worthy of instant commission, but I'd been edging towards the periphery for many years. The Mises wrapture of the libertarian mantle, and the Christian Reconstructionists' faux embrace, causes me at times to fall into Frankensteinian brooding contemplating personal responsibility, and duty to honour, watching a party I helped breathe life into a long time ago, evolve into a monster.

The Friday Night FuckFest whereby a bunch of us hijack one of the last Gawker posts (frequently The Commies) and chat till dawn on Monday. Kind of like hanging out in the schoolyard all weekend. Me, Nina Hagen, Mr. Hippity, Hez, LoLCait, BalkNChain, Furious George, Moff, oh, about 75 regulars. It'll be good company on those colicky nights...join us!
