It Was Almost Getting <i>Too</i> Easy.]]> true, models in New York might not need more competition, but the USA's visa policy is ridiculous and this guy, even if in some small weird way, is trying to help. I myself am a foreigner living there more or less for the past 2 years, and hoping to MAYBE, possibly in 3 years (but probably not) get a work visa But generally the policy is very much "BOO foreigners go away!" ...unless you get married to an american citizen.

I am not interested in working as a model in NYC (although I will take odd paying jobs if they'e offered to me), because as you may know from reading this column, for most models it doesn't pay off that well. What I am is well educated and hard working and me working for money and then spending it too since I live there can only do your economy good. The same goes for foreign models who want to work in New York.

But right now I have more chances getting a visa by signing up to be a mail order bride than I have by having an educated and skills. Sure, I could marry one of my gay friends since they aren't even allowed to get married there anyway, but I'm more interested in getting a visa for what i can do than my marital status.
