@mcbeachy: I don't believe that - you just don't want to tell me.

Anyway I have an "inside" source that say your "inside" source doesn't really know anything...of course my "inside" source is Henry Paulson and he is still angry at me because I won't let him take a vacation so he could be lying...

Jamie Demon

@mcbeachy: Who does your "inside" source think is going to win the election?
@mcbeachy: The only problem is that he didn't drop out "quickly" and "quietly" at all - he dropped out when it became clear that he wouldn't be able to win and he didn't have enough money to continue his campaign because unlike Obama and Clinton, he didn't have millions in donations from bankers who want to make sure they bribe the next president so they won't change anything.

It's great how people can claim they know someone on the "inside" and repeat unsubstantiated rumors.

Who cares about that show anyway - it was the almost the lowest rated show last year. I just found out Nick Denton is paying you guys in cash because someone admitted it. Of course I'm sure he deducts all the state and federal taxes because anyone who pays people who work for him in cash would never hire anyone stupid enough to admit that in public.

I can't wait until ND goes to prison but I'm worried that they won't allow any blogging there...

@belltolls: I don't know anything about Go Tell It On the Mountain but I think a story about a black family living in poverty before there was a civil rights movement is an interesting and compelling story. And based on the reviews on Amazon they characters seem to be coping with more than just being a rich, white woman who does drugs and has sex with lots of men. All writers like Jay McInerney do is write about people who are the same as them and they think it's interesting.

I'm not saying rich, white people can't be interesting but there has to be something in the plot that make you want to read it.

@belltolls: I thought about reading it but it doesn't seem interesting at all. Imagine a story about a woman living in Harlem who does drugs, has sex with lots of men and only seems to hang out with people she knows although she lives in a diverse city filled with millions of people. Would anyone say that was a great book or it is a compelling story?

For some reason people think rich white people are interesting just because they're rich and they're white but they're actually not.

@kookla: I've read that more narcissists go into acting and politics than any other profession so I think that anyone have a relationship with someone in those industries needs to be realistic.
@Seeräuber Jenny: Don't forget MLK had affairs with women and Thomas Jefferson did also.

I'm not trying to make excuses for men but I think people are human and we can't make judgements about their relationships unless we know everyone involved. I'm very disappointed Edwards wasn't nominated.

I thought Keith Gesson left the country...
@SlickaNicka: I would be willing to pay her the same rates he did if she agrees not to release more songs because I might not be able to take it.

But seriously it's really frustrating that people were so obsessed with him cheating that they didn't care about the more important story. He also made a mistake resigning so quickly - I would have made them go to court because then they would have to show proof that they had a valid reason to go through his financial history.

And now they have a man in office who admits he had affairs with women on his own payroll and they he is giving them the choice to stay on the job or leave.

@NobodyLikesMe: It wasn't a coincidence that they made sure he wasn't in office anymore the same week that the Fed decided to loan money directly to investment banks for the first time in history and negotiated an agreement with BS that made taxpayers responsible for a billion dollars. Anyone who knows about banking policies also knows that none of Spitzer's transactions were enough to generate an SAR which is what they claim happened. They were also worried that Clinton would be elected and she would him AG and the conmen in the government couldn't let that happen.

Someday people might realize that Spitzer might have done great things for this country.

@dweeb: I know they're a gossip tabloid but some of their stories are actually true and they report them before the mainstream media does like finding the shoe from OJ and Clinton having an affair and they aren't sued that often for lying.
@Thatcornellguy: I'm not sure that case is all "wrapped up" because I've never heard of someone deciding to kidnap a child from her own home and then hiding her in the same house and also taking the time to write a "ransom letter" while the family is upstairs. Why didn't he also make himself a cup of coffee and watch some TV while he was at it?
@vaquero: He was working for people who thought of it before he did but he quit and did it on his own. I don't really have a problem with that because as you pointed out, nothing is really fair in the business world but he shouldn't act like he did it on his own.

My main problem with him is that he found a way to get access to student records although that is illegal.

@Seeräuber Jenny: At least they're on the cover - at VF they won't put black people on the cover unless it's their yearly "Africa" issue. Last year they even put white celebrities on there who hadn't been in any sucessful movies in years including Demi Moore and Bruce Willis so they need to put a caption on the cover below the title that says "this magazine is only about white people but we don't mind if black people buy it."
@lionel-mandrake: Actually Jews can eat lobster but they have to make sure they're Jewish lobsters - there is a book that you can buy to determine if your lobster is Jewish or not like making it watch Seinfeld to see if it laughs or not or feeling guilty about not calling it's mother often enough.
I think it's great that the guy who started this company at Harvard found a way to get access to student records which I thought was illegal but it doesn't matter...he is white and he went to a good college so that makes him an "entrepreneur" instead of a criminal which is what they would call it if someone else did it. He also "invented" it after stealing the idea from other students but that isn't really important.

We all need to be on facebook so we can make him more money!

Actually Jews don't eat lobster - boiling them alive is inhumane and the Torah says treat animals decently.
@bringmemyTofu: The problem is you can't really do it with the tools they give you. I hired someone who had a drill and he told me "I have more people calling me to help them assemble Ikea furniture than anything else" and he actually made lots of money from it.

I just wish I had known that before I tried it myself because I really did get upset when I couldn't do it myself.

@octopusink: You sound like a real catch...men who compare women to farm animals are so classy...
