    I remember Gawker being fun. But with the loss of some really good writers, the open commenting policy, the end of the commenter executions and the invasion of Valleywag, Gawker lost what made it fun and informative. I wondered what happened to the top-notch commenters like KarenUhOh and saw he, along with others, left in December 2008 when Sheila left. The tone has shifted. I'm sorry to have seen it go.
