Oh, wow! You put a heart next to my name! I've been meaning to tell you for a while that you're one of my all-time favorites commenters, but I didn't want to seem like a panderer. This just made my day.

Hello Lawyergay, thanks so much for your kind words. I don't often check my "homepage" here, so I was astonished and pleased at lovely PMs like yours. Of course I berated my secretary mercilessly for this oversight. Bitch.
But I do want you to know how much I appreciate your posts- you often make me laugh, and you're never ever boring. You're wonderful, and thanks.

Totally with you as far as the Obama hypocrisy, especially in relation to gay marriage/rights. Great insight.

Oh, I was away for a few days and just saw your sweet messages about Julia Child! You're too kind. That was SO much fun, I really need at least one thread like that per week. I went back later, too, to reread it as it was going so fast I didn't want to miss any, and I was rolling on the floor. Too many good ones. Yes, the fish based ones were a lot of fun, weren't they?!I'm glad you had a good laugh. See you around and thanks again! XOXO Scrolly

I like your turkey avatar. Not many people go with the turkey motif, for some reason. But it works!

Hey there!
I just wanted to write a quick note to say that you're truly one of my favorite commenters. I always find your words funny and insightful. Like your comment in that puzzle-house post today. Just so perfect. I tried to respond in kind but, as I tend to do, I think I got too serious.
Anyway, keep up the great work. You should come to the next Commenter Ball, whenever that happens.
-Richard.

Thanks for the tip on the Obama speech on Salon. I printed it out and read it while I was laundering my baby son's clothes. I think he's the only pol I've encountered who makes more of an impression with the written word than by speaking.
