Interesting to see she married one of my fellow Bulgarians (or Bulgarian-Ams or whatever). Kehayov is about a decade younger than her and works or worked at the DC office of consulting giant Deloitte, handling "Bulgarian shipping." Which means he is acquainted with quite a lot of guys who were once Olympic contenders for weightlifting but nowadays lift some rather different stuff. Tara, don't give him no lip.
What I'd like to know is: AOL "put" the Time/Warner fiasco "behind" it by buying Arianna and her unpaid minions. And Time/Warner did the same by selling Little Brown to Filipacchi.
What will be Murdoch's equivalent?
Giving Andrea a 24-hour cat-care (ie torture) channel? Mmmm...FoxFeline...
And while we're on this subject let me just say that if there's one Republican entertainer out there who's thinking of following Ron's path to the White House, I hope it's Vince Furnier. Believe me, if Alice was in there he'd spend more time golfing than Ike AND Obama put together. Which means we might get another Elvis or On The Road or at least another Edsel.
Tina is starting to get ads in that target the readership she's obviously gunning for, upper-middle-class menopausal women. (That is to say, ads from the drug companies and physicians with an ad budget.) So that will keep things going for a while if she can build on that.
But rest assured that there will be no Newsweek offices to go to in 2014 if Tina is not there. This mag will die with her departure, sure as Talk did.
Tasteless but at least it's not another Chappaquiddick joke.
Anyway it's far from a surprising splitup. Obviously Maria was not in the mood to spend another ten years looking the other way from Ahnold's antics on the set. And in 2011, it's not that much of a shock.
Now the last time a Kennedy broke up with an aging movie star, when Pat left Peter Lawford in '66, was a real sizzler in its day. It had been just two years since Rockefeller lost his shot at the White House for being a divorced man making a baby with a divorced woman.
Anyway I figure this will lead to Maria doing a show on OWN. And to Ahnold, sooner than we think, but maybe later than we deserve, doing Twins II with Danny.
When Nixon resigned, his face wasn't on Time's cover with an X on it.
That's because he led us in the fight to kill all those aliens wearing cheap suits who had bedevilled mankind for thousands of years.
And to think it took the Beeb to remind us of this....
And maybe that's why our military finally got cracking and killed the SOB. From the looks of those Dr Who eps it looks like we killed all those aliens in a couple of minutes. The country sure has slowed down since then.
(Let me make it clear that, when I mention slowing-down, I am not referring to this website's format in any way. Come to think of it, I want to appeal my destarring. I distinctly remember putting "sheen" into the search and seeing nothing posted that weekend about his getting dumped. I may have been doing it wrong but I still feel I was checking up as much as any reasonably conscientious commenter would.)
