I only *wish* I was a San Franciscan. I live in Berkeley. But by all means, add me! Most of my friends are in the city, so I am at least there a couple times a week....

Thanks! Elevator to the Gallows is one of those films I keep meaning to watch, because of Miles Davis's score. That trip to Paris changed his life, and there was no turning back for him. Just for the record, I always recommend watching 2046, Yojimbo, and Testament of Orpheus. Later!

Hey, there! Do you remember recommending Before Night Falls to me? I finally got a chance to watch it, and I see why it's one of your favorite films. The acting, set colors, and frame composition are incredible. But what I like the most are the juxtapositions of the tragic (like the woman jumping from the window) with the quotidian struggles. Another paradise lost. If you have more recommendations, please pass them along!

Nonono. Gonzo (Nader's running mate) looks like Chachi.

I'm no longer in SF, having moved to the East Coast a year and a half ago. But if you go to the 540 Club on Clement St. and ask the owner about the Matt Gonzalez for Mayor "Victory" Party I deejayed, he will paint a vivid portrait of gimlets, despair, and really bad drunken depressed deejaying.

Thanks for recommending "Before Night Falls"; I moved it to the front of my Netflix cue.

That's a lot of different cities. You are one person, right?

Prolly not unless you are familiar with the San Antonio stations.
