On Michigan and Florida: so these two states, increasingly anxious about not mattering so much in the primaries, bump their primary dates up. Then election season begins, and as it turns out, the races are SO CLOSE on the Democratic side, that even into March, EVERY STATE COUNTS. Michigan and Florida's moves to move their primaries up turns out to be moot, since as it turns out they might have had a bigger role to play if they had kept their primaries where (and when) they were. The political machines in those states consider and reject a do-over; and the voters in those two states are now shit out of luck, because "their party broke the rules." They broke the rules?
