thanks for worrying :) i jumped on a plane to germany last monday night. did exactly what we talked of - bought my ticket at the counter at JFK and everything - just to frankfurt instead of fiji. my contract renewal was in limbo and i came over to visit old friends while i waited. i've been keeping up with gawker via Google reader in the meantime...
