<![CDATA[Comments from ouiserboudreaux]]> <![CDATA[Comments from ouiserboudreaux]]> <![CDATA[ouiserboudreaux commented on McCain Granddaughter Up For Adoption! Maybe!]]> McCain has kept his kids out of the spotlight in general while they are still in school. It has been his stance since long before this election.

However he's talked about Bridget and her adoption quite candidly when asked about it. He's also worked very hard to introduce and support legislation to help with domestic adoption from foster care - and worked hard to get bi-partisan support for them. You don't have to support him for president to recognize that anything we can do that helps people adopt children in need from foster care is a good thing.

Cindy brought home Bridget and she also arranged for other children to come to American families too so they could get the medical care they needed and not live in orphanages without the medical help that could make their lives much better.

Say what you will about other stuff but I think you should leave the Bridget topic alone.

<![CDATA[ouiserboudreaux commented on Matthew Mitcham and the Great Gay NBC Olympics Non-Conspiracy]]> Sorry, that didn't make sense. I combined two sentences. But you all get the point.

Phelps, US men's basketball and US women's outdoor volleyball were the three marquee headers for this Olympics. They'd get 100% of what was available for them.

]]>
<![CDATA[ouiserboudreaux commented on Matthew Mitcham and the Great Gay NBC Olympics Non-Conspiracy]]> @City_Dater: You can't even compare becoming alltime and single Olympic gold medal winner is vastly bigger news than a guy from another country who did something amazing but had no name recognition in the US and wasn't a sport the American love.

]]>
<![CDATA[ouiserboudreaux commented on Matthew Mitcham and the Great Gay NBC Olympics Non-Conspiracy]]> I just can't see much to blame NBC for doing (or not doing). As the Olympics wound down, the emphasis switched quickly to full length coverage the USA team sports - water polo, volleyball and basketball. That was the MAIN focus at that point.

The Americans in that event, Finchum and Boudia, didn't get any publicity either. That they dive as the synchro pair and then compete against each other for the individual - nothing. That Boudia has been homeschool for years and didn't turn pro - nothing. That Finchum was 5-3 and 100 pounds at the 2004 US trials but is now 6-0 and 150 pounds. Why? Because big team sports were going on and they finished 10th and 12th.

The non-American focus in 10m diving was Tom Daley, the 14 year old from GB was the youngest Olympian - actually qualifying at 13. But they didn't even tell the story of his father's brain tumor that was kept from Daley. They barely said much except how young he was.

I'd blame NBC if he was American. I'd blame NBC if there were Americans in the finals who were expected to medal going down to the wire. I might even blame NBC if it was the first week.

However, I do think NBC could have tossed it in his bio that he was openly gay if he is the only or even one of a handful of openly gay Olympians - BUT only if that was on the forms that come from Australia with the Olympic bio stuff.

It's sad but NBC cannot cover every athlete from every country. The main coverage on him should have been from Australia. There was some amazing US stories that never got aired either.

Hats off the fellow for his amazing achievement and I'm so happy his partner and mom where there to share it.

<![CDATA[ouiserboudreaux commented on My Mail Carrier Likes Throwing Our Packages Up Several Flights Of Stairs]]> I live in Cary, right next to Raleigh and our carrier's favorites include leaving packages right ducked inside our garage if it is open OR right in front of it if it is closed.

I drive a SUV, so I open that garage door and pull out - hearing something dragging. It's a package!

We only figured out what they were doing after my daughter was playing outside and figured it out.

Of course, no one cares and the Cary PO office just says we'll report that to the area supervisor.

Sprint should have been more clear on what was happening, no doubt about it but it doesn't seem unreasonable to me to be re-upped.

I've been with Sprint for a long time. I had a few minor problems and all have been resolved quickly and with consideration for my problems. Heck I walked in once with an accessory that was 14 months old and stopped working. They pulled up my account to confirm I bought it there and just gave me a new one without any hassle.
