Ann Curry was so nice that I started to feel sort of bad for hating her onscreen persona for years. It's just how awkward she is at the lighthearted-to-gravitas transition that so much of the Today show hinges on. You know? The whole: "And those were some cute puppies! (turns to face another camera) And now, on a more somber note, child rape." She just can't pull it off. IMHO.
